Why spring is the optimal season

WHY SPRING IS THE OPTIMAL SEASON

With winter now officially over in Australia, it’s that sacred time again to defrost, dust off your bikinis and head to the beach! When it comes to seasons and favouritism, often it’s black or white, winter vs summer, leaving spring and autumn to be ‘the other ones.’  Spring is the best season and here are a few of the many reasons why.

THE TEMPERATURE

Obviously the beach and Annake go together like Anna Wintour and sunnies, but when it’s too cold or scorching-burnt-to-a-crisp hot, the beach isn’t always our go-to place to be unfortunately. You know when you buy an avo and you’ve got basically 2 seconds to eat it while it’s perfect? Well that 2 seconds is spring time in sunny Queensland, Australia. Leave it a little too long and all of a sudden it’s your typical 40 degree Aussie summer day. Don’t get us wrong, a summer beach day is also lovely, but when we’re talking about temperature, spring wins!

PRETTY FLOWERS

Pretty flowers, everywhere! Everything is bright, colourful and more lively than Blake Lively herself!  Waking up and smelling the roses hits a little different in the springtime, for all the best reasons. Put some daisies in your hair and be the spring queen we know you are!

LONGER DAYS

With winter hibernation ending, the sun is going down later giving us more time to head to the beach for sunset. Grab your picnic basket, one of our beach towels and swimwear and enjoy your beach day for longer whilst you watch the sunset over the horizon… bliss!

IN SEASON FRUIT & VEG

Whilst we are talking about picnics, we can’t forget to mention the delicious and large variety of in season fruit and veg that you can make the perfect picnic platter with! Berries, melons and citrus fruits are all great additions. We love supporting local farmer markets for our fresh produce!
